WARCOM's recognition uses the audio from the porto speaker going into the MIC-input of the USB-Soundcard, and text-to-speech uses the audio-output from the USB-soundcard to talk into the porto MIC.
There's no need to make hardware changes to this USB-Soundcard.
You only have to select the output soundcard to USB-Soundcard, and select the windows MIC-output to the inserted USB-Soundcard.
Note that all the sound on Windows are broadcasted so if you have internet radio on in your browser that is also transmitted when Warcom speaks back over the radio.
This USB relay card is needed to use the button on the headset cable from your headset. It can press the PTT (TX) button en release it. Which makes it possible to transmit using WARCOM. Connect the two wires comming from the headset cable PTT button to the 'switch' (activate contacts) and not the 'un-switch' (de-activate contacts) connections on the green connector from the usb relay card. That can be the two left holes or the two right holes on the green connector as shown in the picture. Check the data-sheet from the relay pcb for this information.
You need to modify the cable that came with your portophone. The mobile cable can be modified to we can use the computer to talk in it and listen for voice commands. Check out the picture how we modify the cable. Dont apply gleu on the pcb this will activate the PTT (TX) button while it cools down!
This is how your cable can look like. If you have a different one check the pcb connection to make solder connections.
Select the USB mic input and don't forget to turn-off 'Listen to this device'
Download your language in MS WIndows speech and recognition languages. You can select the chosen language in Windows then Warcom will takes this settings next time it starts. Some voice languages are not available in MS WIndows other ones can be downloaded.
I can be a little difficult to install this speech recognition and text-to-speech on MS Windows go to settings, language and speech. You may have to install a language pack from there. If recognition and text-to-speech is working in MS Windows it also works on Warcom.
I got this message when i started warcom
We don't have the amount of money asked to buy a signing option to add to Warcom so that we are a trusted software developer. That's why you get this message.
Just press More Info and then 'Run Anyway' and click ok.
Warcom needs administrator rights to be able to save and load its textfile.
Right-click on the desktop icon and select properties then turn-on 'Run as administrator' checkbox. Then press Apply and OK. Now it will always start with the correct rights. If this is not done then it can not save your input to a text file.
